alexandria music review

ok so i have somewhat of a decent history (and education) as a guitarist um coming here was special (i think they're a mom and pop which seems like it'd be a huge good thing) i started out with guitar center years ago (and listened to a lot of little pointers when i was growing up that probably helped a lot) but might've found being loyal here to be smart (i found a great brand of strings elixir that don't break easy but then another one i didn't know was ernie ball with the sponsors they have on the back of the package) some things i'll like would be like how there's different brands here (i think some i saw were godin alvarez oh and seagull) then i'd see like on musicians friend online (and seeing how easy it is to fall for other salesmen like guitar centers site) um coming in and catching up with the owner he's nice and has been here forever so that's encouraging (also as a free thinker i've found it can make sense to get a 'more expensive' guitar like my one i still have was a gibson sg that got talked down from $1250 or so things that factor in like i don't really watch cable television anymore or when i'd go to events) um one thing i might've liked too was at one point i thought to quit guitar in some ways but then i before dropping off the social grid (maybe for reasons like being 'straight edge' or dealing with stigma too) met others who seeing them progress was entertaining to think of how i'd review it and to fundamentally understand some of the principals of being a guitarist like a far out example who i saw once live was richard lloyd of television many sides to that like he's 'the guy for that' or some people still might find it fun to disrespect these different famous guitar players (and i saw a lot of them one actually sour memory was this guy double talking when i was at fed ex field seeing keith richards) i saw live um i got a practice amp here that's been a breeze um at one point i was shopping for an electric acoustic around maybe $300-$600 because there's an open mic night at o'shaughnessy's in old town but my schedule changed and it didn't line up for me anymore also i moved but that's something i'll have to see about with my parents like what i'll do now is i got a walmart cassette tape deck that i'll record by myself to and accumulate those um though one thing i'd mention would be i didn't want to do it full time all the way like not wanting to go on tour or another was hearing the social worker say how artists could be 'permanently homeless' it's a great hobby um i feel like i'm doing the minimal as far as paying into it these days (though other times i did pay many dues in different ways like the live music bars) my parents caregive and i guess i can get by with what equipment i have now my maybe $300 yamaha acoustic is great that was from pike valley music in new market va also when i was in georgia i got a real good one it was a fender malibu that was tough to get i had to save for that while in the wtb

oh and sort of to 'tell the truth' i saw some other reviewer mention the guy being racist i sort of got that vibe too and just sugarcoated everything about this because of like dangerous people out there um so yeah yeah i actually went like far out of my way to be nice to this place but they do seem like they can be point blank mean and um more lessons with how the music industry is dumb and i'd be better off watching gilligan's island so finally looks like i predict my reviews i was doing are about to be shut down (again isn't yelp dumb too basically you pay leave and get charged top dollar for nothing you're better off staying home) and then it's like what others could have told me it's just dumb like the hobbies or dreams so better off to obey and be lawful and try to assimilate more instead of doing 'creativity' you can't talk you can't socialize you can't be free that's life i'd rather not have the cops called one me

ok so i tried a little cheat i ordered online and picked it up and it worked out great so let's see um it's a short walk from my parents pro suite in bh um the little bit of exercise was helpful light cardio and in the fall it's not sweat inducing it's a peaceful trip to even be boho (a huge influence for me lately has been a book i never read it was jack kerouac the subterraneans to daydream about hanging out with townies and writing poetry though there were so many issues i later found with the background like breaking the law in on the road i did finally read that) though there's my new quote 'alexandria is not richmond' while being reasonable as a 'fat stupid lazy american' that being the smart thing to do um the bv shopping center was nice got to pass by those other businesses um inside the dining experience was good so the people watching um i feel like this is a pretty good brand you can trust somewhat competitive prices you can count on subway to be consistent um and also be of the era like when in public school at wphs we'd leave campus to get stuff here different little momentoes recalled like some senior students liking the wendy's location that later closed or when panera and starbucks were bumpin'

came here last night with my mom and met up with my brothers family (in the night the place was lit up and the different things to see in the background were nice televisions wall art) it was a good time one thing i was mentioning was how i thought it'd be cool if this place was like del ray (or old town for another nearby one being walkable or seeing bicyclists) where it'd be like people walking here from the nearby suburbs that's just an idea um the place was really busy and that was a little bit fun (the chain is pretty good we've eaten at the mv location too though i think it's not my dad's favorite but me and my mom enjoy it) lots of different tables buzzing i got the pick 3 and got a cheese quesadilla two beef enchiladas and rice and beans the chips and salsa to start were good definitely enjoyed the little spiciness and kick um it's pretty fun here but also i'd keep in mind that it's not necessarily the same drinking conditions for that (which i can't do anymore due to meds) in fairfax county as opposed to other places i didn't realize it but around when i became of age and was out of the army i spent a little time in dc where the bars don't have to serve food or where i'd focus on the music venues (in a major city that's highly trafficked) seeing famous people while in the background dc won two championships (that i later thought i contributed to though when i found out about them i was certain they'd lose to be honest) so yeah i used to be nearby in these suburbs bucknell over on cavalier drive just a little walk away but back then i was so focused on projects that i didn't splurge too much on the meals it was all about movies plays concerts and fortunately i got off alcohol in some ways (though those were good times too rnr hotel black cat 930 club lots of those) but now times are different um a picture i thought would be cool was having a new sector 9 longboard (the bouncy surf style one) and going somewhere but maybe being a little worn down and 'spirit broken' to say a new quote 'alexandria is not richmond' things i'll assimilate and change like not taking pictures as much anymore

ok so have been here for a little while um everythings been good (i remember too when everyone was raving about how great this was maybe some of that was before a lot of businesses came to alexandria like mcallister's jersey mike's five guys moe's) so the experience is pretty good (there's a patio too for being outside to think of boho vibes or lounging though maybe keep in mind what the neighborhood norms are you won't be seeing free spirits as much as like in a beach town or college town and sometimes some major cities the fringe lifestyle peoples) basically it's just food (and pretty tasty daydreaming about black beans half and half white and brown rice green salsa carnitas what else corn tomatoes sour cream cheese and a fountain drink) and going somewhere in public um i'll either get a bowl or a burrito (and have fond memories of times long gone no more hanging with buds perpetually though some improvements not being in poverty and sort of 'manic') i like to get the queso too (i think actually that's my favorite part) i have the phone app though i don't use the points i'll just participate and also i'll do the surveys too to share ideas this seems like one of those ultra professional big name entrepreneur businesses that you can count on like mcdonald's (most of the time) who today i heard owns them now um it's at beacon mall near giant marshall's boston market panera

jersey mike's
ok so where it all began was at the close of the 2000s when i was staying in the dorms just around the corner on broad st in richmond there was a jersey mike's and one time my roommate covered me and gave me a part of a sub i remembered it was really good and a little funny too (maybe it was because we were getting the college treatment while out on the town) um much later i saw the chain come to alexandria (and a lot of other places too) um i have had a great time coming here and i don't think i've ever had a bad time (i think that's zero food poisoning here) after coming back for a few years now um i am a little 'stuck' on their menu i find i almost always get a big kahuna with mayonnaise with everything on it (the jalapenos onions and peppers) it is just that good i've had some of the other sandwiches (and ordering stuff 'mike's way' is really good too) and they were good too but maybe i don't come too often (to where i'd try the whole menu) because i heard it can get expensive as i once found out when i was back from the army with my paycheck during obama eating out a lot it's a dream coming here and the workers are always helpful and professional and quick and warm enough and cold enough also rather generous some of the stuff here really quenches a craving like the white sandwich bread meshing with oil and vinegar and toppings like iceberg lettuce and tomatoes and mayonnaise with which ever meat to choose the business has a good formula i've liked the deserts too like a chocolate chip cookie or a brownie the chips are good too for a combo

ok so the visuals here and the associations a married couple who stayed together forever was what i heard it was the family company um the neon lights being by some city suburbs near the huntington metro hub (when i was hopeful about entertaining ideas of collabs or other projects and meeting strangers or getting out) the open 247 though honestly i think the arlington location i went to which i think i heard was the original was a little better but this was not bad it'd just be like if competitively someones going over the top with everything so yeah this one is good and mostly consistent without issues or troubles um the neighborhood is pretty cool i'd walked here or longboarded here (which actually i think was smart and a easy healthy cheap exercise to do that helped my weight and heart) when i used to own nearby before i sold my house (that awesome time in the suburbs farther from ft belvoir and the dc va hospital) and relocated um though as i kept saying 'alx is not rva' (like no real socializing happening for me despite some effort or learned old jaded lessons don't approach others or another i heard was friendships were plumbing troubles maybe better off to heed others wisdoms) um but i manage to get a good hallucination in the times i was here like one movie scene i loved (though the movie i actually found a little vulgar and offensive) it was wanderlust with jennifer anniston and paul rudd where there's like a hippie commune owner who takes sundays to get a meal here as a breath of fresh air leaving that and getting some alone time the look of the day passing by and dropping in on a diner a lazy weekday or weekend doesn't make a difference freedom and bohemian dreams paintings at night um the menu is pretty solid with different choices some things i'll get are the western omelet (and put some tabasco on it) little cheaper with either home fries grits or hashbrowns white toast um a country fried steak with white gravy um a tuna salad sandwich and a bowl of chili (there's some other stuff i might have to get around to like maybe the chicken tenders or pancakes but trying to get a reasonably priced filling meal getting enough to eat and not some huge cockameeny order with my caregivers) um yeah maybe 'abstractly' really trying to see something more than just a meal that turns into a turd that cost more money than groceries as was a previous lesson from a person familiar with addictions like going in public building rapport with the business um the chance to see a old face maybe um i think one way of combating that complacency and repeated barriers would be dnd which can be amazing but not for me due to the conclusion that i don't 'game' (i didn't like that gary gygax got divorced though i thoroughly loved his products and the fantasies and stories with it like a ettin is a two headed giant who when if people steal from him they can find curses and bad luck catching up with them from that in the rpg universe um) um being here with my family can be a treat all of us gathered at the table the joy of the times of year the being cooked for the dining experience with waitstaff the televisions on

what first got my parents attention when we came here was the prices seemed really good after that it's been a steady consistency of quality meals um i think being in luray my dad might not like the drive as much just to go 'over the mountain' for dinner but it's a good time when we get there and it can work in with other times like if we're on our way from harrisonburg or other places (maybe woodstock thrifting about) around um one thing that was soo good but maybe foolish was the homemade hot sauce it digested good but might've been a little unhealthy (i've developped a health condition 'fatty liver' that seems normal and 'american' and like sort of 'the best case scenario' to tell you about things you might not've known as i myself was ignorant to much of aging) um i'll usually get stuck on a couple items on the menu and stick to those as my regulars like i like the 'speedy gonzalez' lunch special or one of the dinner combos i'll get some stuff like a cheese quesadilla a beef taco beef enchiladas um rice and beans when my dad orderd the queso cheese it was soo good and craved like putting something combustible on a fire and it bubbling up and simmering down in my belly and going to my brain um inside there's a steady traffick of business with tables around (nice to be in public) of other people to see i've been too when my brothers in town with his family and the seating works and it's a great time being together um the workers are hard working and professional seeing some regular faces (very presentable and polished) being helpful and kind um the mens bathroom is accessible (i have a disability and may need to go to pee a couple times due to for example downing teas to stay unsedated) um this part of town can be a joy to come see and settle in for a second i think there's other stuff nearby we'd been to before like the excitement of southern kitchen or the coziness of kathy's or when my mom gets some stuff from the jon henry store it's a blessing to come stop in and get a bite to eat down the sinkerator that's my stomach

to be honest after starting reviewing places i now sugar coat everything (i think it might've started with times where according to the review scale it could be like mediocre or average as opposed to times it's like a perfect ten but to be understanding it's fair it's reasonable and i just may have been misunderstood too like thinking some people don't want the reviews but then others do) basically if i don't have anything good to say i won't or if it's good enough i'll focus on the best parts and only do 5 star reviews so as long as there's no 'food poisoning' it's good with me but anyways that said coming here was pretty good these couple months we've been have been good hot food pretty good quality ingredients with a good ambiance the nice windows showing the shopping center the parking lot and watching people get to go orders picked up and seeing other guests at other tables the old school italian american restaurant this is on the other side of main street i heard they got new owners recently um some things i've got that were good were the chicken alfredo pasta the meat lovers stromboli and the special steak and cheese um the staff are friendly and professional the bathroom is clean (i had to go pee as a side effect of meds not to give to much info but to be understood) the decor is good with some posters paintings and a statue it was a lot of fun when my brother was in town with his family in the past and we'd come here (like a year at christmas) and it'd be the seasonal excitement and getting out of the house and getting a meal ordered for dine in the pizza was tasty it was pretty fun to do and lawful and safe

711
to start i think my parents suggest i don't go here and i comply with their wishes as my caregivers i think the reason would be it is too unhealthy that aside i will say this i have absolutely loved this 711 for a long time some of my history was for example at one time when i lived down the hill and i'd walk here and get a icehouse 42oz beer and watch a movie afterwards at my house on dvd from the am vets with that booze um even in childhood i have great memories of this place a friend and his dad going here what really did it for me lately was this visual i had maybe of a college town and the nachos (i had an apartment near one and it was the drawl of going outside and there being all types of stuff going on parties day drinking cannabis heads um singles coeds) specifically there was a music video they made online too that shares that (711 nachos https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kl0T8Fm85c8&pp=ygUKNzExIG5hY2hvcw%3D%3D ) um i don't know what the magic of it is it's a convenient store but i feel like it can be a little hotter and stimulating somehow than some other places at times where i'll go for groceries as a 'miser' um the big bite is amazing with the options for toppings the wings are superb the bakery sweets are phenomenal and then there's other stuff too like the slurpees um driving up it's a good hallucination parking in the lot seeing the different longterm franchises faces here and usually there's a steady flow of visitors maybe too harkening back to other eras when this was a thing like public school high school with for example learning to smoke tobacco the cigarettes yeah though i think a little bit of my lesson here was 'alexandria is not richmond' to think of the more bohemian stuff there with for example bicyclists or artists but fairfax county has it's own charm a thing that got drilled in my head was northern virginia is where the money is oh by the way i forgot to say a little bit of an observation is i think it's by two disability group homes as a little thing to notice

so yesterday i picked up some food for carry out for my parents quick and easy um i got a gyro that was really good went down my stomach good (actually digested really good processing it) um this place has been here forever and i'd put them up with some other longterm personalities popeyes am vets mt vernon recenter alexandria music 711 where you see the owners make it through the seasons (even my old cavalier drive bucknell neighbors i admired) um usually this place is pretty busy i remember seeing the tour buses come to either here or roy's um it's a pretty good cozy tasty experience i had met some of the family before a guy i'd see at the bars in old town and some girls i went to public school with they were nice enough the owner seemed like he's always there running a tight ship um another pretty good time was my dad hosted a dnd campaign and we got pizzas for it from here a few times that was fun though i don't game anymore really the shopping center is nice even walkable though a reoccurring lesson for me was 'alexandria is not richmond' (or vcu being the cause of that the college town i went to undergrad for) where there's more bohemian stuff and townies too instead more families and workers um i missed this place for a little while because a reasoning was the principal being i liked my location for being near dc (i used to walk to huntington for the metro or even go through uber) and when i was focused on all these studies like famous guitar players live or theatre plays lots of entertainment i taught myself while maybe there was less than 'a decade under the influence' as opposed to things i observed about the neighbors in some cases seeing some stay and some go the menu is good greek italian american and a family business some other places i might like that are comparable would be mama's kitchen maggiano's um bertucci's ledo's that's mostly what's nearby it's a good price and good food

came here last night with mom we've been coming here for maybe a year or so now and it's been real good my favorite thing here is the soups i like the hot and sour and the egg drop the food is hot and tasty um it's good quality (maybe a little unhealthy in a good way being 'american' i could get a little 'buzz' from it) and good pick up food too my mom says it reminds her of magic wok that used to be in belle view that was really good um it's a nice stop on our way to fort belvoir it's in a shopping center near mount vernon near the safeway and fire house subs um the menu is awesome lots of good choices and a traditional chinese restaurant look we've had the hunan chicken very good the sweet and sour chicken very good the fried rice very good and it costs extra um chicken lo mien very good um what else general tso's chicken quite good the dumplings were great it looks like the owners are always here running a tight ship and being consistent and enjoyable the chinese culture can be cool like thinking of the souvenir shops in dc with chinatown to daydream about that the dine in is nice enough good tables and not too crowded the times we've been also the food has been quick

royal spice
the other day my parents and me stopped in here it was really good um the ambiance inside was nice it was clean presentable and charming (there were two tvs playing some hiking stuff i think it was of nepali that was entertaining in the background) um the food was soo good i got the vindaloo and it was tasty (also we had some i think dumplings for an appetizer and some other stuff that came together real nice) i really liked the spices and seasonings they used the host was very nice and personable this is over on main street it was a great time a nice somewhat formal of a meal with the spicy ingredients that get in your system

fox's pizza
we came here the other day my parents and me got steak and cheese wedgie's i think they might've messed up my dad's order a little and he had to pick off toppings he requested to not have mine was very good hot and tasty um the manager was very nice and gave my dog a treat um this place is right next to two fat butchers my cousin used to work here

i came here with my brother (and his spouse) today over in springfield by 'the moon' (lol) i have been here a few times through the years it is consistently good (no food poisoning ever in addition to the food pretty much always being fresh and hot with quality ingredients in addition to a very attentive thoughtful service) um so i like the different culture (asian food is good too as stated i appreciate different ethnics and even how this food can be subtly different each time to be more mellow on this go) i find the vietnamese style (like the french history) very enjoyable um today i got some fried egg rolls with sweet dipping sauce a cold cut bahn mi with everything a cold can of pepsi and a large bowl of pho (with meatballs and brisket) that i put some of the famous sriracha brand hot sauce in um yeah i'd think of like the cafe vibe or french details the ambiance here is very nice and the sort of like 'street food' (i hope that one isn't taken the wrong way for example i remember gyro's overseas) precision is great i have many times daydreamed about living elsewhere when i was here like how i got exposed to germany with the army the place is loving and unique (which is quite a endearing trait though corporate fast food can be 'chronic' too) to come here occasionally with my older brother and have a good meal soak up being family a little chuckle with where we are now while i could even picture myself being like a writer like henry miller or other fun daydreams getting a generous portion of food that tastes so good it's not 'illegal'

pepe's
ok so in the background i thought i noticed my parents have a little bit of an issue i think it was over some phone app special that was advertised (and another i think may have been the service) to be fair and positive we got it resolved and they i think gave us a credit for a meal that we used so with that and even before we had a good time and not really any issues (we came when they opened too)(also a little tip is to get the pizzas 'well done') we came today and it was good no 'food poisoning' or awkwardness so keeping this around as a place to go um i like the family image here and that association like the founder 'old reliable' that stays in my mind as a sort of some what wholesome picture to think of it's by the skatepark it's nice to drop in the shopping center and be by the ovens cooking our food and see they stay a little busy with guests

commissary
ok so coming here is a joy i'll come with my mom and the lay out is quite impressive also it's nice seeing fellow military (and affiliates spouses dependents caregivers) and having that sense of comradery i'll really like sometimes finding stuff that's not around elsewhere like different brands and things i wouldn't find where i was going to off post (though a few times i've seen them later come off post coincidentally) um many times i remembered fondly the nostalgia with when i was in for that short period um i do feel special when i come here and respected and appreciated yeah i actually get a little bit excited doing this with mom i am very thankful for my va 'benefits' coming on fort belvoir is quite a joy like how it's the military and me getting to be civilian and see it in person a few times i liked like seasonal stuff or the gimmicks too summer barbeques were fun

wendy's
this place was truly out of this world it was very impressive i came around when they opened and as was with the previous location i did notice some 'over the top' attention to the food it'd be like getting my order and everything is done perfect in addition to the menu being enticing with lots of little details on the choices i'll like the spicy chicken sandwich that's a favorite a cheese burger so the main entree then what else a combo um fry options like baconator fries pub fries um then little add ons nuggets chili so yes everything was very well presented the drink machine was super fizzy and brand new um i might think just a little bit about some of the brand image or stuff i learned on youtube about them like the original founder dt was a orphan who made his way (and that being a soft spot) um the location is very good the one out in mv is charming too where these are like a hot spot hub of people coming and going something about the look of it um oh yeah so a little detail was there was a orwells music video and in it there was a picture of them at wendy's that was really cool to think of like blues rock and roll teens being young and the motto something like 'don't cut corners' this place has been around for a while and continues forward with good everything

roy's
ok so this place has been very consistent and professional in addition to a good 'visual' to daydream about (also it's in the shopping center which can be charming a short walk from my parents office suite in bh) while stopping in um i'll love contributing with the survey afterwards (lots of ideas that sometimes i'll see come to the public) um i'd think of cool stuff though i don't necessarily do them like dungeons and dragons to explain the accompanying 'hallucination' um the westerns the hotel history cal ripken being a sponsor the fairfax location the mv location good old american stuff and the vintage ads and marketing posters on the window um the ambiance here is pretty good to think of like other influences a college campus or some of the workers coming here and the people watching it's a good time when me and my parents and my brothers family meet up here some of my favorite menu orders are the 2 piece fried chicken with white meat the gold rush combo with fries or mac n cheese or mashed potatoes with gravy um the hot chicken sandwich is good too with the texas pete sauce

kfc
ok so what sort of started some of it was i got food poisoning at the popeye's near here (many times in fact back to back in a row which made me certain it wasn't coincidence) then stopped going there entirely not to put a bad picture in your head but so here was it um i had like a high from how good this place was and even thought about like the whole process of it so it'd be maybe take the backroad from fort hunt so i could skip the traffic light um coming in daydreaming about the youtube kfc history videos i'd watch (to learn about the colonel) the like beachtown ambiance though it's usually rather empty um enjoying the meal good soda machine loving the hot macaroni and cheese the biscuit um and the fried chicken my favorite part the skin the breading the batter the juicy meat not to get so burnt out on it but everytime it was so good i had trouble getting anything else on the menu it'd be the two piece bone in white meat combo um i only might yearn for more of the like 'bohemian' stuff to think of hanging out with friends though i think i heard warnings on why that doesn't work and me usually finding heeding the warnings to be for the best

greenspun shapiro
basically what happened was i had two court dates (not to get into too many details but additionally i was a little skiddish about my previous 'criminal' history see before the cannabis legalization) that i was very stressed about and my mom researched greenspun shapiro and found that they should be able to save me from a sentence or any 'time' so i used them i paid and got off with zero time (and all that worry that i'd get arrested mostly disappeared) and it was such a huge relief definitely would recommend to tell you a little bit more i had peter greenspun and when i was going through each court appointment he knew exactly what he was doing and reassured me and would even point out things he knew about each judge

furious sauces
ok so when i first saw it (at the harrisonburg farmers market) i was a little confused and didn't get it immediately (maybe i was being 'miserly') when i came back again i knew i wanted to try some so what it was was maybe the marketing (the logos and the 'look') the guy seemed professional and the 'product' was enticing the two flavors i got were 'ogre's punch' and 'dragons smoke' so some of that was like the 'novelty' of it and the 'gimmick' um one little fantasy i had was times i had joy from seeing a friend 'addicted' to world of warcraft that was entertaining thinking how that can seem fun in comparison to some less lively things i've seen that could be 'safer' though um i haven't cracked open the bottles yet but the samples i tried were very good and i thought i could use it maybe when i heat up something frozen maybe i'll use the airfryer for that it's a good 'booster' to have stored it was a good deal and good purchase

thien an pho
the other day i was in harrisonburg and we came here for lunch it was a good time me and mom got some food and it was quick enough the atmosphere was good there were some other people here or coming and going too the portions were tasty and very presentable the plating looked so delicious so we got spring rolls with the dipping sauce to start and fried egg rolls too and i got some spicy chicken wings then my entree was a bowl of pho i think it was the p3 the brisket one that i added some siracha to i enjoy vietnamese food and this was well done tasty asian food

Can someone help with an answer to this scenario? Is this feasible? Should I invest my energy in something else instead? Was instead I meant to have a guitar legacy? Was I tricked and niave? It seems like countless others get away with this and do it the wrong way.

Was this actually to my niave innocent ignorance a extremely stupid idea?

some of my quotes i remembered compiled extracted from fb (that doesn't work)
