my mom comes here it's in front royal (on our way home) the meats i've had that she cooked were really good my favorite was a sausage that she added to a box of zatarains (there were some other winners a steaks chicken hamburger um bacon i think we may have gotten hot dogs here i think pork chops too) also so more would be i like some of the intellectual stimulation that sort of came with it like my parents have 3 outdoor cooking items they use a traeger grill for smoking a oklahoma joe's propane grill and a blackstone griddle so it's like easing into the future and days lounging my parents just up the street from me on their porch and them prepping foods that i'll eat and clean up so there's burgers we had um breakfast meats with breakfast um chicken (the skin on the full bird was good there's other cuts too like i think we've had breast meat) one time i went in and got a few things i liked it was macaroni salad potato salad and a crab dip that gave me the party vibes (i've really been into missing 'party' foods nachos pizza dips etc) the prices seem good enough i assume we can do okay and afford it and the meat maybe being better quality than other places though sometimes my mom and me have enjoyed going to fort belvoir for the post exchange and the commissary yeah it's nice here and there's sweet details like the sports sponsorships from this i think it's family business um seems healthy enough i was happy the other day my blood pressure read from the va was good enough so that was a relief

i was a little superstitious or under the like 'novelty' of it basically using my 'va benefits' so lately while i am up in alexandria on some nights or days my mom and me will drive on base where lately it's been easier there was a time when the pandemic made it difficult but things have gotten reasonable again so we'll come up and do some shopping

the other day i got a great deal on a sony camcorder i've had many good finds this past year northface yellow pull over um us polo assn tops um

by the way i am probably very happy i listened to peoples directions when i was younger to get me to where i am at today i am a veteran and i do ok um full stomach long term housing seemingly good future ahead

the clothes are pretty good and sometimes i can find something that is just quite right though a little issue lately has been my size (i think it'd be 2xl shirts and 40x32 pants and maybe 10.5 or 11 shoes) i've put on weight from med side effects probably um so it's funny it's like better than other places at times but then there can be like specific orders or things elsewhere that are wanted um

the place is clean and militant and charming

so mom will find something and i'll feel good for helping her (i practically swear by the px being that good) um i was a little like i said 'under the spell' of this place like daydreaming about all types of stuff maybe having a fantasy like nostalgia for old mil times like georgia maryland germany um though i wasn't in too long in some ways like two reoccurring fond memories for me lately are the dorms and the barracks when i was in college and when i was in the military

i have had quite a hankering for chinese food lately (though also noticing that it seems like there's not as many around these days in some ways) some of that would be like being hungry daydreaming about the whole menu (so many great choices i could list and this being like a lot of other chinese places where they have some similar menus) um what i crave lately is hot and sour soup so my mom and me went here the other day and i was very happy with this meal it'd be like hot perfectly done food and seeing the cool stuff too like the carry out to think of a little visual with that presentation like a adam sandler movie or a bill murray one different frozen times of the eras while not being too miserly something to do

the food was hot fast and reasonably priced they did seem trafficked when i came it was busy and hard working

inside it was nice enough um

yeah some of the two interests for me on this would be asian stuff and sour or spicy stuff

costco

so some of this was a huge blessing i remember when costco came out at this accessible location not to get political but i think it came out around obama (who is responsible for todays economy) so some of those good times (different trends more aware of as i after i finished high school) for me i remember some of the 'visuals' like i'd strictly eat here so i could afford 'nightlife' activities (music bars mostly) i was having a somewhat saintly blast doing my goals and working through the stuff while saving money everything was going smooth and it wasn't very unhealthy either though to spill the beans i do sort of live on some processed foods at times as a single lively and vibrant narrator of this

it was and is still a great activity for me and my family not so much lately because i'll just eat at my parents or with them depending on our circumstances (but still access common stuff like there was times we'd get a gyro kit when those were new or other costco family meals) but there was this era of loading up my house with stuff with a trip with them and the whole va stuff 'caregivers' um

my dog actually gets hamburger from here that i cook up and freeze and later mix in with his food another example of one of these 'showmanship' or flair things that are appreciated

so when i'm here i think of all these great ideas and we've gotten lots of stuff here from many of the different departments outdoor furniture frozen clothes and it's all been very good quality (also to mention being thankful for being 'born in the usa' like not a 'developing' country though finding those so fun my big loves were deustchland france and britain even hearing of cool stuff to like africa or puerto rico opportunities i missed)

what i was getting at was it is pretty cool to think of the buffer of bulk like if the opportunity were there right (a story i told once was maybe missing the scenario of 'poor friend'-assistant) it'd be being able to host like offering something (a great memory would be middle school skateboards and the kids we could meet up with and their parents houses that picture of being a boy and alive) or even thinking like bodega's could get stuff here to resell to clients (it was awesome seeing neighborhood stores in rva with stuff like a cat inside)

today i was soo happy my parents let me get snapdragon pho here the other day i my brother was in town and at one point i got in a little bit of a bad mood but then when i had a second to myself i fired up one of these and doused it in sriracha and was immediately joyous and mad (surprisingly for how many times i have the different stuff here i don't burn out too much)

yeah some of this would be enjoying the 'intellectual stimulation' that can come with this (and the money saving) like different 'gifts' like displays and pieces (my acoustic guitar idea)(i think we got a poolside awning here with recliner chairs) um a big visual for me that i loved would be thinking of like freshman year (dropping out like my hero jd s that somehow being my answer naturally) and day one of summer at the campus dorms (everyone rushing about the cafeteria and life) getting loaded up with stuff my parents helped me get (the mini fridge that somehow broke one day) then the year progressing

the food station is good enough and at an unbeatable price so being with my parents membership here i don't think we've ever had an issue throughout our time with them

there's lots of other stuff around here to pick from too though like the new walmart target yeah alexandria has really changed since like arthur treacher's which was delicious

everything i have had at this chain (both locations the kingstowne one too) has been perfect um last night we went and it was a great time it's not too crowded and busy but too i saw people picking up carry out orders um i don't think i'm being liberal throwing around the word perfect all the food was cooked and served perfect hot quality affordable happy

so last night was a dream we came in sat ourselves there was another table of older people there the windows to the outside looked nice enough to think of the charm of the nearby apartments or rt 1 the public school grads and what not maybe one person at the bar and we ordered so we got fried pickles with buffalo ranch spicy toasted ravioli with marinara sauce those appetizers sausage spaghetti and a medium pizza all sausage half pepperoni half mushroom no issues whatsoever we had a little left overs too

so another one i am getting to is that there's the 'public opinion' so stuff like marriage voters the families (instead of beatniks or creatives) um non bohemia complaints and cops so this being a good outing reasonable and good um another was thinking the guitarist i saw a while back kepi ghoulie was fun enough now my lesson being avoid trouble as opposed to other surreal times europe georgia dinfos to name a few before it sort of puttered to an end

the price though i didn't look seems like i am doing ok going out to eat somewhat regularly like my being on the 'fixed income' (and doing all the frugal habits i do helping) and little increases balancing everything out

yeah the inside was really good i don't know what it was like one time i remember having a blast at maggiano's in springfield

i think the ambiance was very good seeing that you can find issues with anything like wanting that college nostalgia (recently thinking of missing socializing when it was me against the world and i was going to produce great works films paintings writings music etc the art school protagonist) but then other stuff like the budget or direct business professionalism

the menu is extremely tasty looking reading it hungry seeing so many good options chicken wings with different preppings

also the demographics around this city seem less like 'hipster' (when it was youthful wild souls) and more like maybe civilians i guess to think like workers and stuff like when i kept saying missing rva or other places also a little cool thing last night was i saw a soldier in uniform who i'd assume was from fort belvoir that was yesterday loving that time the barracks warmly

five guys

ok so i missed this place for years (when i was focused on drinking in the capital) anyways now lately i'll go a few times a month so everything is primo um i love getting a cheeseburger 'all the way' those ingredients make for a delicious concoction blending together and i'll get a little fry with no salt and a water cup

the menu is quite good and i'll actually daydream about them (many of those taco bell la bledo kfc) like getting a good order or seeing the options like they have shakes or a great one was the bacon cheese dog all the way

so some of what i like about that place is like it's by my old neighborhood but i never walked there (more missing being 18 at univ or the other one being in the military but though now it's quite nice being a home owner in the country club instead liking where ever) it's just a little bit long but that's coming from the same person who'd walk to huntington metro there and back round trip before

so it's right next to el paso too well and the ford dealership and across the highway from 711 and further out bob and edith's

um i at night was watching videos on businesses and always found them like industrial strength grade and charming like hearing of the collab with thrasher's a company for fries or another being thinking the 'trades' can be charming and fruitful um these entrepreneur success stories chipotle wendy's roy rogers etc

so this is on my list of best burgers probably i am somewhat convinced fast food burgers are better than any restaurant ones

i try to find the way of describing how good of a dining experience this is so the food is good (great taste down the belly) and so is the ambiance (some fun conversations we've had that disappeared) it's in a big shopping center um it's a nice break in the day to pop in and fill up (it doesn't hurt my back on our meal here)(i've only been here with my parents and it's been good)

so the appetizers are great i like the pad thai salad the steamed dumplings the fried spring rolls the the meat strips with sauce and starting off with a thai ice tea is refreshing those are my favorites

so the entrees are a good craving food i like the chicken pad thai the drunken noodles red curry different fried rices (and how spicy) um the cashew chicken

so we'll come and get some slight variety in our orders the inside is nice with natural light (and fun times that were seasonal halloween and christmas) maybe some light music um a view of other tables and the bar

the kitchen truly making like hot good food to maybe think of vendors or concessions that precision and novelty

i appreciate this different culture as a reference point i am so thankful for having gotten stationed in deustchland and having gotten to see more of the world from the barracks that adventure um

now that i thought about it again i believe i would stay up with thai as one of my dining choices from what i can afford (one time miserly got fearful about what my budget was before) there's lots of great carry out places to order since i seem to be alone for now

forgot to mention one of the best parts is the sort of cafe vibe also it's some of the seasonings that are really enjoyable

the other day i treated my parents to a early dinner here and the whole meal was pleasant and enjoyable

so what i found here one time was this walmart carries wahlburgers pickles since then if i am here i'll stop in and pick up a few sets (with enough time on the expiration date for me to finish them before they go bad) of these i really liked the wahlburgers pickles

birchmere

i have had a pretty good time with the birchmere through the years (was more active during the mid 2010s to the start of the 2020s) i will have to adjust myself somewhat based on hardened lessons in life reality basically um there were times where i could've recalled the nightlife through the years bitterly but maybe that's foolish too i could be mistaken (maybe due to my own miserly conclusions to own that) but as stated it's probably been a good time grooving along the other night i saw the church i specifically remember out of the cloud of drinking back then this groups show (it was the 30th anniversary starfish tour)(there's actually been many through the years i thought would be helpful later on)(there's big crowds here and they'll sell out in advance too um a big thing i may have been ignorant to also was virginia bartending like they serve food too much different than the capital dc though now i don't drink any alcohol anymore) and it came through quite well to think of the psychology term 'mind mapping' one of the better parts here that i've liked here and other places was some of the 'showmanship' not to drill into off topic specifics and stay censored and within the content guidelines i think these days the days i may try for are weds thurs maybe fri for when i'm in northern va and that's unless i book something else as what i was having as one event a month the people i've met have been firm and nice and as stated things are different but i'll work more on assimilating as a american civilian voter home owner

also for example if i thought i was getting treated poorly i'd still weigh the alternative to think 'yeah i'd rather be doing this than' some other thing out there thinking too of even pseudo professionalism or accountability at times so it costs something and that instead of other stuff out there and too people can be mean but there's worse out there i once said 'it could always be worse'
