remembering the nco barracks the fun side of these peoples adventure can't believe it's already gone how fun that was
so i was walking around the post in fort gordon maybe i'd looked on a map to see stuff (trying to understand where everything was or becoming more familiar other things too being a little crazy or stuck also around then i had fallout 3 on xbox 360) but one time i found the nco barracks for the warrior transition battalion the wtb so it was weird and cool i saw people like playing volley ball (even like the top gun look) i saw people smoking cigarettes i saw the parking lot with all the different types of vehicles (remembering the look of some people a necklace athletic clothes some with tattoos) um i think i even walked into the lobby for a second um it was a mid rise building and it was entertaining i remember too hearing if people got to a certain higher rank they wouldn't be eligible for that housing anymore and they'd have to pay for off post stuff i think um it was another like state of 'arrested development' like these people who sort of didn't grow up like one being the part like teens in the military the first clothes bought at the mall during training um
another extremely comfortable feeling was hearing the tradoc people marching while i was in my room doing what ever i wanted maybe a nap but that contrast so that comfortable wait before getting sent home it was back to georgia again it was the library the gym the post exchange with the food court the dim lighting at times the cold weather the summer the hospital where we'd get lunch at times um
some of them said our barracks was better we got the newer ones that were also right next to the chow hall so though when it temporarily got scary and felt like jail the formation spot the cq desk and the common area um the duty vans stopping by one time during a big snow seeing things around then i got a movie then before i'd later become more prolific
another one was for a little while the nco's would sell stuff to the junior enlisted i may have gotten good deals before a van for like two thousand dollars a tv that i changed my mind on it was a german tv that didn't have the cables from a african guy later the rule was changed and we weren't allowed to buy from them anymore i tried explaining how the tv sort of made sense like it being german like beer or alternative entertainment and maybe being like a paperweight or something um the novelty
another time was in germany the old german barracks we took over the nazi stuff etched in stone on one of them um the top floor was for sergeants that cool side and things looking different the second floor and everyone making their rooms so cosy seeing a spc with his computer set up and some of the standard furniture with a slight euro spin the wardrobe the bed maybe a desk
