what active duty feels like being uniform and sane awareness of the mission and lower ranking

 so it's like the comfort of going with the campaign (in hindsight you're supposed to study and prepare for look at the presidential orders bush trump obama etc or other things going on where will you be getting stationed at learn the cultures) so you have your needs provided but you have to keep going then with parents life is very good and easy like being able to get out and do okay after that that safety net

so there is too the zhivago where you look back on times you had (the last time you were on holiday like christmas vacation or when you take leave to visit home or elsewhere) and remember that while being in a state of dead zones where your life is routines pt formations chow and then later benefits booming like being in germany and getting to go off post with a battle buddy and get donors or go to the nightclub and have hefewiezens 

you're in the military but there's still the fun of being junior enlisted you have to do your part like exercise or go so getting in with the unit and the practices some indoctrination the processes like tradoc or the gov 

having a huge career booster or resume afterwards but is the veteran unemployment a trend or pseudo tenure will you reenlist again to keep going 

you're at like a public high school with americans differences and sticking together so dress right dress being properly uniform 

so the difference between uniforms and casual civilian clothes following the rules and what's allowed some smokers some drinkers some fraternizers some gamers the vice choices

Was this actually to my niave innocent ignorance a extremely stupid idea?

 I'll tell you my story on this one. I got stationed overseas. My unit and I were about to deploy to Afghanistan. I was in debt from my student loan and reclassed from my MOS with my bonus. My peers basically told me I was going to become an amputee very shortly. (there's also a little bit of similarity to this and the Adam Driver story too). My unit covered down for me and basically asked what I'd be okay with. I basically got instructed to go AWOL (previously I saved up all my money to pay off my loan with by only eating at the DFAC chow hall) and I did. I first bought a guitar and then used my savings on hotels. Previously another trivia bit was there was a ad in Ft Gordon for Smart Piggy and it said there were high interest rates I had some money in there before cashing out. So while AWOL I recorded what happened to be about the exact amount of a vinyl record in addition to other extra recordings for another album.
