I wasn't 'just listening to Panic at the Disco' (also my accounts were hacked and I am not sure what was vandalized)
So I thought the CDs I listened to helped me. Now as a testimonial for the parents or kids out there you can see where I am at now. So what was going on? I listened to music as a boy with my parents and dad was a DJ before. I tried to sing and had exposure to lots of music in my life. Before things got ruined or expired. Can you remember listening to early Michael Jackson songs in the nineties? So one era for me was public school. I walked my neighbors dogs and used my money on CDs in the 2000s. Also bought other merch. So some of that was like I was listening to them and paying attention. There could be different reasons and things to do while studying them. What to focus on? Mathematical science to music creativity expression statements promises deals etc pop? So it was like audio books in a way for me. I'd really try to decode the stuff and see what I could get out of it. I would think a lot. Also when I was younger this was a bit of a status symbol for me. The music was respected in some ways. Bands going out trying to make a living. Also unlike the sports (which I did do and could do) this one didn't seem like it was ending or that I'd get injured with it. So I could keep this hobby going forever it seemed. And there was all types of stuff I did with it. And the current winning traits I got out of it. When you see your kids now wouldn't you like them to end up like me in some ways? My parents are alive. I have paychecks. I do basically what ever I want. I am a home owner. I have a car. I help the families business. I am not lazy. I don't think I have HIV. I have had dental work done. I paid my student loan off. I am a veteran. My stories make sense. Additionally I have been ahead of the curve on a lot and the brain child of a lot too. Cryptocurrency social media vintage etc. So yes my peers disrespected me before and I didn't deserve it. But I just walked away rather than get sucked into it.
So some take aways? Hearing music helps combat against dementia. See how hard the Stones hit but as stated the story of reputations getting ruined trivia. Habits? Planning. Thinking. Responsibility.
More of it? I was listening to a lot of amateurs back then. Maybe having influence from peers and teachers too as well as getting ready to go my own way with VCU. EG I remember a group I thought sounded good that I had no idea about was the Bled. Actually now I thought that looks a little like the word disabled. So isn't disability nice now?
To be honest some of that stuff seems like it is greatly changed or isn't as accessible. I swear listening to CDs or even vinyl records is much different than listening to EG Amazon Music on my smartphone or device. I feel like back then I heard the instrumentation and vocals and all the layers much clearer without necessarily having to crank up the volume.
