taking back sunday appreciation a soft spot for the pop heroes making strides through the years great influence with artistic inclinations good entertainment that seemed hard won to have a good time being young

 i am really glad with some times i spent money on taking back sunday i think just about everyone came back blossoming to me (t shirts in high school a cd too concerts in my 20s a vinyl from a record shop) um so one i sort of read into was i saw them for a second in the fillmore in silver spring maryland so some of that was i could only go on weekends (and i only had so much money) so i got my ticket transferred they were booked two nights in a row and doing a coin toss on what they'd play but so what i thought was this would one get me to keep all my stuff like my possessions not getting donated and two get me to a new opportunity when the luray stuff was happening a little foggy i actually left early that night because i assumed i'd get kicked out for not drinking

i saw them and nothing bad happened and i had good times their sound is good live and on recordings i had a good time and their mentality and guidance is helpful

more of that the older kids from my era who showed up senses fail conor oberst the black dahlia murder the get up kids coheed and cambria and each ones little spin or different thing on it um so some of that was like i thought some of these things i paid for hugely helped me like lifted from bright eyes getting me kids before um or having my own childhood with it being just the boys and girls catering to us being that age and unperturbed

um so i'd think of them being like u2 even at times like that hard and maybe catholic too like that as a good influence and more of that believing their story (i later said there's probably a pretty good reason or excuse for everything) but yeah i'm a little forgetful now

i liked that they played vfw halls they seem very reputable and good um hard working too good values um they seem like they responded to everything um it seems like musicians who stuck to it and led they way

yeah i forgot most all of it but was going to say adam and john ooze with charm and charisma um the arms the guitar the fashion the i think i heard they're film buffs too um very tasteful

Was this actually to my niave innocent ignorance a extremely stupid idea?

 I'll tell you my story on this one. I got stationed overseas. My unit and I were about to deploy to Afghanistan. I was in debt from my student loan and reclassed from my MOS with my bonus. My peers basically told me I was going to become an amputee very shortly. (there's also a little bit of similarity to this and the Adam Driver story too). My unit covered down for me and basically asked what I'd be okay with. I basically got instructed to go AWOL (previously I saved up all my money to pay off my loan with by only eating at the DFAC chow hall) and I did. I first bought a guitar and then used my savings on hotels. Previously another trivia bit was there was a ad in Ft Gordon for Smart Piggy and it said there were high interest rates I had some money in there before cashing out. So while AWOL I recorded what happened to be about the exact amount of a vinyl record in addition to other extra recordings for another album.
